OPT Workshops
In light of recent regulatory changes for F-1 OPT work permission, the ISO will begin a series of workshops to help students learn more about the new guidelines and procedures. All interested students are encouraged to attend one of these workshops before making an appointment to discuss individual circumstances.

Workshop topics will include:
- New reporting requirements for all students on OPT
- Limitations on unemployment for maintaining F-1 status
- Procedures for 17-month extension to eligible students
- Acceptable majors under STEM categories (current)
- Elimination of H-1B “Cap Gap”
- Areas of limited information & guidance
