Welcome to the Incoming Student section of the ISO web site! As new & incoming international students, the ISO staff looks forward to meeting you and providing any assistance you may need while you prepare to study in the U.S. In this section you'll find a wealth of resources that will answer questions such as "What do I do next?" and "How and when do I apply for my visa?" among many others. Prearrival Forms & Instructions
This page contains the essential forms and information you will need to request a Certificate of Eligibility (I-20 or DS-2019) and apply for your visa, as well as tips and instructions on paying the required SEVIS fee and preparing for your departure from your home country and your arrival in Rochester.


Students Currently in the U.S.
If you currently hold F-1, J-1, or any other visa status and are present in the U.S., please visit this page in order to learn about how to transfer to UR or change your status before enrolling in classes.


IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Effective 10/27/2008, the SEVIS fee is now $200 for F-1 Students and $180 for J-1 Exchange Visitors.
