ISOP Schedules

The University's many divisions and programs begin at different points throughout the year. For that reason, the International Student Orientation Program (ISOP) meetings and events for new international arrivals occur at various times for different groups.

Reminder: These meetings are mandatory.

Please check back for more information as these programs are scheduled. The International Services Office (ISO) is closely monitoring the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. We will continue to support international students in their transition into the University of Rochester community. The ISO is currently planning to offer immigration check-in, ISOP, and SSN workshops beginning the week of August 17, 2020 for students beginning classes on August 26, 2020. Eastman Institute for Oral Health

Eligible students need to obtain necessary documentation and detailed instructions from ISO before applying for a US Social Security Number (SSN). Please attend your scheduled workshop if you are eligible and intend to apply. More information about eligibility will be available at orientation.

*Current EIOH students moving to a new program within EIOH will need to activate their new program by completing an immigration check-in at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2020. Stay tuned for more details about how to complete this requirement while the main ISO office remains closed due to COVID-19 guidelines.

Visiting Students

For visiting international students who come to campus for temporary study, research, consulting, or other activities.

Your orientation with ISO will be scheduled after you visit ISO for your immigration check-in.
